Le batteur Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (ex-MOTÖRHEAD) est mort ce mercredi 11 novembre à l'age de 61 ans.

Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor a fait parti de MOTÖRHEAD de 1975 à 1984 puis de 1987 à 1992.

Son ami "Fast" Eddie Clarke lui a rendu hommage, évoquant le fait que Phil était malade dernièrement :

"My dear friend and brother passed away last night.
He had been ill for sometime but that does not make it any easier when the time finally comes. I have known Phil since he was 21 and he was one hell of a character. Fortunately we made some fantastic music together and I have many many fond memories of our time together. Rest in Peace, Phil!" (VsGreg)

Paru en 2012 au format CD en autoproduction, In Death We Meet, le premier album de ces vétérantes réunit un ensemble de morceaux composés entre 1991 et 2010. Remasterisé au début de l'année, il va ressortir au format 12" vinyl le 21 août chez Ibex Moon Records.

Triste journée où nous apprenons la mort de Jeff Hanneman, guitariste et membre fondateur de SLAYER, à l'age de 49 ans. RIP

"Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Lauri Aitonurmi, le bassiste du groupe finlandais RUINSIDE, est décédé le 14 décembre dernier des suites d'un accident de voiture.

Communiqué officiel du groupe : "R.I.P. Lauri Aitonurmi - Our beloved friend and bassist Lauri Aitonurmi passed away on December 14th 2012 in a car accident. We will remember him as a very bright person who always shared good spirit around him. Ruinside wants to wish strength and hope for Lauri’s family, his wife and little boy. Un grand bonhomme vient de nous quitter.
Gary MOORE, guitariste légendaire, et Ex-THIN LIZZY, est décédé dans la nuit du 5 au 6 février. D'après le site de BBC News, Gary Moore a été retrouvé mort dans sa chambre d'hôtel en Espagne sur la Costa Del Sol, dimanche matin. Il était en vacances là-bas. Il avait 58 ans.
