Your label decribes the style of MNEMIC as "Fusion Future Metal". Do you agree with this definition ?
Yes and no, what can i say, i mean its very hard to categorize our sound, due to that we blend so many elements in our music. As long as it sounds good to us and to the people that buy the album, it doesnt matter if it is swedish metal, a new wave of american metal, or fusion future metal.

What are ou thinking about 'Mechanical Spin Phenomena", 2 years later ?
It's only been 1 year actually…and damn....where should i begin?? Well the success MSP brought us was and still is immense. I mean we have been touring with Machine Head, Soilwork, Death Angel, been playing big ass festivals with Anthrax, In Flames & Hatebreed, just to name a few...and its still going the right direction. We have made 2 videos for MSP, now we are doing the 3rd for the new album, and it seems that next year we are going to tour the US soil - and everybody enjoys our music - it is really overwhelming.

Your brand new cd "The Audio Injected Soul" is just released. Can you tell us more about it, the recordings sessions, the songs etc ?
We started writing the material for the new album in the beginning of March, i belive. We went into the studio at the end of May. We wanted to come up fast with an album, to keep people updated and to let them know that we mean business, and we are here to stay. It was a hectic period for us, due to that we sat the deadline ourselves....in the meantime we also had a very big summer festival schedule, so we had to run in and out of the studio all the time. The songs are much more simpler this time, and everybody in the band contributed with ideas and material, so its a much more Mnemic album if i can put it that way. The new album includes the binaural technology which has been developed at the AM production in Aalborg Denmark, which we have been very fortunate to use, and its featured on Deathbox and the intro of the album. To get the full effect the listener needs headphones, cause its full neurotic 360degree experience.

What are the things you wanted to improve between your previous cds and the new one ? What are the main differences between this new cd and he others . How different is this one than the previous?
We wanted to cut down the lenght of the tracks, due to that on the last album they where too long, and that didnt really felt as a big plus to perform live – allthough the energy was still there. The songs are much simpler this time. The riffing is written in a much more rock'n'rollish style, due to that it felt like a natural thing to do regarding the technicallity of the album. The overall concept of the album is about the Mnemic sound.

Do you thinck you have enough support from your label ? Or do you think Nuclear Blast is more focusing on top sellers band like in flames, hammerfall etc ?
We have more support than you even can imagine from the label. They are great people to work with and they do the best job for Mnemic. Regarding other bands i dont know what they priorities are, i only know that they have treated Mnemic in the best way, and we are totally happy about it and respect the label. We work together, to make the band bigger and better.

Who did draw the cover artwork of your cd ? What does it represent for you ? Is there a concept behind it ?
I did the cover for the new album. For me it represents the ultimate energy this band posseses, when a listener is injected with the venom. The concept is about Mnemics sound.

Are the lyrics important for you or not really ?
In some cases they are.....Michael is the one responsabile for the lyrics, like he was on the first album. This time around i contributed to Dreamstate Emergency. I think its not always easy to pour out your feelings when composing a riff, so this time i took the pen and papir and poured my soul into it. The song is about strenght, being someone that is connected to someone, but without being close.

Is any members of the band involved in other projects/bands?
No, not at the moment.

Will you tour throught Europe soon ?
We hope to tour intensively next year, cause this half year we will be concentrating on Scandinavia, and then next year its going to be Europe and the US.

What is, in your opinion, the best metal album released this year ?
This year?......damn...there are a lot of good albums....but i think i would say; Suffocation „Souls to Deny''
