Infos: Fondé à Chicago en 2009, ce groupe se compose de (CV non-exhaustif):
Paul Garcia - Vocals & Bass (ex-Gorgasm, ex-Kataplexy, ex-Nekropsy)
Jason Muxlow - Guitars, Programming & Production (Earthen Grave, Fields of Burden, The Living Fields)
Samu Rahn - Guitars (Cairn, Fields of Burden, The Living Fields)
Depuis la sortie de leur 2ème Demo, Paul Garcia a quitté le groupe et n'a pas encore été remplacé. Les Américains ont toutefois recruté un batteur à part entière à l'été 2013: Phil Messina (Impale, Ofyakus, Whorrid, le tribute-band Among the Living).
Wintering se dit principalement influencé par les groupes européens (Bolt Thrower, Morgoth), notamment l'école finlandaise (les débuts d'Amorphis et Sentenced). Très bon.
