le Groupe - FLESH MADE SIN par VSGREG - 3054 lectures
Flesh made Sin perpetue la tradition du thrash metal des 80s comme le faisait Hypnosia dans le temps, une petite interview pour en savoir plus sur le groupe !

"Dawn of The Stillborn" is your newest stuff. How different is this one than the previous EP ?
Well to be honoust, it really isn't much diffrent from the other releases 'Scenery of Death' (2000) and 'Masterwork in Blood'(2002). Those were our first recordings so you might hear a slight progression in technical arrangements both soundwise and musically. This one is a bit faster! But we didn't make great changes or anything, we make plain and honoust aggression the sinfull way, and that is what you get when listening to any of our recordings!

After listening your first cd, I think that Flesh Made sin is really close to the spirit of HYPNOSIA. Do you agree ? Which bands would you compare the band with?
We are inspired by a lot of music so you might hear influences of Kreator, Slayer, Infernal Majesty, Sadus, Sacrefice, Dark Angel. The thing with Flesh Made Sin is that it's no retro-thrash . We are very much inspired by the 80's metalscene but we are living in 2005 ' almost' , and that's also hearable. For example. In the old days it wasn't that horrible to find a few mistakes in every song on the album, if you'd do it nowadays they will laugh at you and say : Are you serious about this??!! Hypnosia? (they rule (d) !!)

Who would you classify as your band 's influences, both musically and lyrically? I suppose, these are not thrash metal acts only?
Besides Thrashmetal bands I named befor I'm inspired in general with a few black-metal bands such as Watain, Deathspell Omega, Katharsis, Funeral Mist. Some Industrial hell like Godflesh, Halo, Swans. Acts such as Diamanda Galas, N.I.N, Type O Negative, Curve, Wumpscut. And for some more metal madness I'd say Bathory, Incantation, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Venom, Beherit, Sadistic Intent, Morbid Angel, Testament, Bolt Thrower, Merciless and many more...(BEWARE; these are all general influences, Flesh made Sin plays 100% Ripping Thrashing Hell only!!!)

Which cds do you consider as being cult or must have for you?
Infernal Majesty- None shall defy,
Burzum- Filosofem,
Helhammer- Apocalyptic Raids,
Deathspell Omega- Si Monvmentvm Reqvires Circvmspice,
Diamanda Galas- Plaguemass,
Sadistic Intent- Ancient Black Erath,
Deinonychus- After the rain falls an empty sky remains
Possessed- Beyond the Gates,
Messiah- Hymn to Abramelin,
Bathory- Under the Sign of the Black Mark

What means the cover art of your last release ?
The skeleton-jesus is a symbol for a dead christian- Icon which embraces the rotted fetus of his own fruit. It's more of a dead future filosofy, the dawn when all that lives dies, and everything that's being brought to this world will be stillborn. The end of all in one of it's fine ways.

Let's talk about the lyrics. What kind of topic did you write about ? Are the lyrics important for you or not really ?
I like to write my lyrics on diffrent topics which all eventually amount in death. Serial killings (my own sick fantasies), suicide propaganda and dead future filosofies all written with a slight approach to society's stupidety, the uselessness of life love and compassion mixed with a big amount of horror and dark sarcasm. They have to be sharp, like the music. So yes their is an importance in them.

You have just signed the contract withKarmageddon, What you can say more abou this factory, co-operation with them & about their support?
Well, it's a dutch label. They used to be called Hammerheart records. Untill now everything goes fine. We have had no death-threats yet! Let's hope they can arrange a good tour for us with some 'nice' bands, that would be the perfect way for us to promote 'Dawn of the Stillborn' We truely are a live band.

Is any members of the band involved in other projects/bands?
Yes indeed. Our drummer Marco and our Bass-player Stip are also active in Antro. It's music that's really catchy and deadly at the same time. They used to make really great old-school porno-death metal like Autopsy . I'm not sure what their up to next, you never know... Myself I'm active in a few thing as well. I play in the black-metal band SauroN, and I do the drums (once in a minute) in the ultra-heavy doom project Bunkur (think of Winter mixed with Abruptum)

Have you ever heard a french metal band ? If yes, which one ? What do you think about the french bands ?
I know Funeralium, (hello guys!) I love their sickening approach of Doomlike torturous music, really great! I know P.H.O.B.O.S , great dark- Industrial Terror Hell!!! (hails!) Forbidden Site (also a diffrent but nice cup of tea!), and Deathspell Omega. Their latest work for me is something unequelled and therefore simply genius!

Your favorite cds for 2004 ?
1. Neurosis - Eye of every Storm
2. Deathspell Omega- Si Monvumentvm Reqvires Circvmspice
3. Dark Throne-Sardonic Wrath
4. Occult-Elegy for the Weak
5. Velvet Revolver- Contraband

Last words for our readers
Await the Dawn of the Stillborn...
Cheers! And hopefully see you soon while we thrash the fucking shit out of the stage near you!
LIVE FAST AND DIE HARD MOTHERFUCKERS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
