KRUGER annonce son futur split.

Le groupe suisse auteur d'un cinquième album "Adam and Steve" il y a de cela quelques mois, va donner ses derniers concerts au mois de février, à l'occasion d'un "Last Tour".

Voici une petite partie du communiqué posté par Kruger :

"Après 14 années de services consciencieux, KRUGER est bientôt prêt à partir pour sa dernière tournée (ce mois de février) avant la 'retraite' et avec la satisfaction d'un travail cependant bien fait."

Ce split résulte notamment du manque de disponibilité des musiciens à l'attention du groupe, en raison de vies familiales ou encore professionnelles chargées. Et pour éviter une fin houleuse à Kruger, les membres ont ainsi souhaité sortir un 5ème et dernier album ("Adam And Steve"), donner quelques concerts avant de se retirer de belle manière.

KRUGER - LAST TOUR !

Here we are. Après 14 years of conscientious duty, KRUGER is soon lifting off for its last tour (this February) before retirement – with the satisfaction of a job well done, though.

To nip in the bud the possible speculations about some psychiatric and/or musical causes for that decision, we waste some lines below to explain the few (good) reasons which have resulted in that (nice) ending of many years of metallic amusement :

1) the availability of the band members, which has become ridiculously rare to continue this band in the proper way (i.e. full speed ahead, not only during the few gaps in our agendas) : our family, professional, sexual, etc… lives are giving us a hard time to find the time to rock the house correctly.

2) the wish to put a happy, not an abrupt end to Kruger : we wanted to release that fifth album, to play it live, and to finish with a joyful tour including the cities / venues that have meant a lot to us during our, er, « career ».

3) the impression to have achieved so far more than what we imagined in our wildest dreams : five albums (most of which are quite listenable), tours in several far-away countries (some along with bands we absolutely worship), festivals we never thought we would play, and a microscopic but worldwide notoriety – we are delighted when we look back at all we’ve done, even if we haven’t actually done that much, if you compare us with the Rolling Stones for example.

Above all, we wanted this band to be incomparable pleasure and fun until the very last gig, without any constraint or conflict : there is strictly nothing we regret along the past fourteen years of Kruger (except a couple severe hangovers here and there) – all this has been an exceptional and enjoyable experience for all of us. The full list of thanks would be a bit fastidious, but we can quote all the good Listenable Records people, Niko and Kalchat of Rage Tour, Pelagic Records, Gojira, and all the charitable sound and lights engineers who’ve accompanied us on tour for ridiculous money. Finally, we thank you all, the people who have spent minutes or dollars on our music so far. Hey, no bullshit: you have our gratitude for ever - we mean it.

We’re looking forward to see you on the road a last time next February (check the tour section!), before we flee to the Bahamas with the money, for a well deserved retirement !
