CAMEL OF DOOM

Infos: A l'aube des années 2000, le Britannique Kris Clayton âgé de 13 ans fonde Camel of Doom. Le groupe, qui compte une saxophoniste dans ses rangs, pratique alors un stoner doom brut de décoffrage. Après la sortie du 1er album, Kris Clayton privilégie d'autres projets tels que Nightshadows Lament (entre doom indus et néoclassique), Iota Draconis (funeral doom) et Imindain (dark metal). Il dépanne également Esoteric (expérimental ambient doom/death) en tant que guitariste live (2007-2009). Ces expériences nourrissent Camel of Doom qui synthétise depuis influences doom/death, stoner rock, psyche/prog voir post-rock. A l'exception du 4ème album sorti en février dernier, le reste de la discographie est disponible en téléchargement libre.

Cover-band de la Vierge de Fer dans les années 90s, ce groupe basé à Rome a fini par développer ses propres compos. A défaut de surprendre, ce 1er album paru en 2003 dévoile des musiciens techniques et généreux qui maitrisent leur sujet. The Prowlers semble ne pas s'être remis du départ de leur bassiste fin 2012.
