Blkout! viennent d'Australie et jouent du NYHC qui tape dur, quelque part entre du Madball des débuts , Breakdown, Cro Mags et Dirty Money. Du groove et des breaks dévastateurs. "Point Of No Return" est leur nouvel album, une co-prod des labels Resist Records (Australie), Six Feet Under (USA) et Demons Run Amok (Europe).

Hardside - 2009 – 2011
San Antonio, Texas. C'est ici que se trouve le fief de Hardside. Groupe de Hardcore brut et sans chichis ala Biohazard, Meurader, early Hatebreed et Leeway. Existant depuis seulement 2009, leur démo a eu un réel impact sur le net et a fait rapidement parler d'eux. Avant de sortir un LP prévu pour cet été, les texans mettent sur 12" leur démo "Pulse", le 7" "Crucified" et un morceau inédit uniquement dispo sur ce disque.

Deux groupes au top du Hardcore finlandais se retrouvent sur ce 7". Upright jouent du NYHC avec une voix de patron, influencé par le groove de Leeway et les breaks de Cro Mags ! Forseen sonnent comme un mix entre Leeway, Merauder, Violation et Metallica.

Brutality Will Prevail – Sleep Paralysis
Brutality Will Prevail, jouaient à l’origine un Beatdown plutôt bien foutu. Ils ont cependant troqué depuis quelque temps leurs mesh shorts et bandanas pour des chemises à carreaux et des bonnets. Ils balancent maintenant un hardcore down-tempo, sombre, sale avec des hallure de sludge. En ce qui concerne leur nouveau LP, personne ne s'attendait à ça, même avec ce que le groupe avait proposé sur leurs précédents disques. Sleep Paralysis c'est 3 morceaux en un peu moins de 20 minutes. Sales, sombres, malsains et lancinants, ces trois nouveaux titres nous plongent encore un peu plus dans les profondeurs abyssales d’où semble venir leur son. Toute la rage, la haine et la noirceur du Royaume Unis sont regroupées sur un picture disc.

The Hollowmen – Three Betrayals Toward Modern Man
Ma claque de l'été! J'écoute ce 7" plusieurs fois par jours depuis un mois tellement il défonce. The Hollowmen est un groupe des îles canaries. Les 5 espagnols ont sorti une démo intitulée "Three Betrayals Toward Modern Man" il y a un an et ce 7" n'est autre que le repressage sur vinyle. C'est le label Stomp Records (Out crowd, Truth Through Fight, Good Fellaz) qui s'est collé à la tâche. Ca sonne comme Ringworm mixé à In Cold Blood et Cro-Mags.

Twitching Tongues – Preacher Man
Connu pour leur hardcore drogué au rock / métal, avec des influes comme Type O Negative, Section 8, Only Living Witness et Life Of Agony, Twitching Tongues (avec des gars de Ruckus, Alpha & Omega, Disgrace) se sont fait un nom en tournant aux USA et en Europe. Leur LP " Sleep Therapy" est surement un des meilleurs albums de 2012. "Songs Of Suffering" est le premier EP 12" des sud-californiens de Disgrace. Avec des gars de plusieurs groupes californiens au top ( Twitching Tongues), Disgrace joue du hardcore plus que métallique influencé par Merauder, Bolt Thrower ou Grimlock. L'artwork est signé Dan Seagrave connu pour son travail pour Entombed, Morbid Angel et Suffocation. Cet EP 12" est limité à 600 copies, dispo en vinyle coloré accompagné de son coupon de téléchargement.

Harm's Way - Isolation
Prend l'ultra-violence de Orange Mécanique, mélangé au son virulent, violent et sans chichis de Carcass et ça te donnera une idée de ce que Harm's Way essaye de faire. A travers trois 7"s et un LP, le son du groupe de Chicago, est passé du powerviolence au metalcore ala (early) Hatebreed. Sur "Isolation", second LP du groupe, les mecs ajoutent à leur mixture du Eyehategod et du Godflesh. Dingue !

"Heavy hardcore" en provenance d'Irlande. Un paquet d'heures passées à sillonner les routes dans un van ont fait de Frustration ce qu'ils sont aujourd'hui.
