We are saddened to announce that because of internal conflicts and differences within the band, we will not be able to perform the reunion shows. The majority of the band was ready and willing to fulfill the obligations to the promoters and fans, but because not everyone was willing to do so, it was agreed to not move forward. As it was a celebration of the 30th anniversary of AHFOK and would have featured the original lineup, it did not make sense to try and find another player to replace the one(s) who expressed they were not willing to continue with the shows.

Sincere apologies to the promoters and especially to the fans. The live shows may never happen again, but we are proud of the legacy we have and even more proud of the amazing fans that still listen to the music of Intruder.

We are currently looking at bands now as a replacement. Stay tuned.

This long running band really needs no introduction, they are a powerhouse live and have a load of amazing classic albums and new as well. They were last in Chicago in 2015 and put on the best live show of the weekend and it is still talked about today. They recently released a new album entitled "Brotherhood of Steel" and we highly recommend you picking it up. The Legions of Metal Festival welcomes to the second stage REFLEXICON.
This band features ex members of Chicago classic bands Slauter Xstroyes and Winterkill.
They put out a self-titled album earlier this year and you can order it via the Bandcamp link below.
It is full of soaring vocals and catchy hooks.

From Oakland, CA, these guys have a raw in your face energy with a mix of 70's influence in their music as well.

The Legions of Metal Festival is thrilled to announce the return to the line up of legendary act INTRUDER to the festival at Reggies in Chicago on May 15th and 16th. This is going to be a special set for sure. The band will feature the original full Metal Blade Records line up, and will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of "A Higher Form Of Killing" and will play the album in its entirety with a few surprises as well. We are excited to have this special set performed at the fest by this great classic band. We are thrilled the band can rejoin the line up and add some great thrash to the line up. And the people have spoken. We have to say that were blown away by the outpouring of love and support from everyone after announcing the news of our, shall we say, inner turmoil. We knew that we had a passionate fan base, but the response has opened our eyes to what really is important – you the fans. We always have said that without you, we are nothing. We had lost sight of that credo and for that, we apologize. For all the fans that have stayed true to the band for over the last 35(!) + years, and to all the new fans that we have picked up along the way, we want you to know that we appreciate each and every one of you.

So, without further ado, and our priorities straight, we are announcing that we are playing HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR, Germany in July and we also are back on the bill and will be playing the LEGIONS OF METAL festival in Chicago in May! And yes, we are working on a show in Thrashville for the homies.

We can’t wait to celebrate the 30th year anniversary of A HIGHER FORM OF KILLING by playing the entire album with the original Metal Blade line-up. Let’s thrash this….

Just wanted to send out a quick update on the fest. Right now we are hard at work on getting a plan in place on the best course of action. Hopefully over the next week we can announce our plans. Just wanted to give a quick heads up that we are working on the best solution.

Une collecte de fonds a été organisée pour soutenir la très sympathique salle qui l'héberge, le Reggie's, qui comme la plupart des salles/restaurants à travers le monde, est contrainte de fermer ses portes.

Festival reporté aux 4 et 5 septembre 2020 :

The Legions of Metal Festival is being moved to September 4th and 5th this year at Reggies in Chicago. We are pushing the dates back a few months to keep the fest going this year. There are some changes.

Exciter and Vain will be playing Friday night Sept 4th and Slough Feg and The Rods will be playing on Saturday Sept 5th now.

War Cloud had to drop out as well and we have a replacement band set. We will announce later.

There are two other bands who were unavailable with the new dates. Cerebus and Antichrist. We are working on replacements as well.

All tickets will still be honored and if one day ticket holders need to swap their tickets, you can email info@reggieslive.com and you will be helped with doing this.

Just wanted to give an update on the Legions of Metal Festival. We are moving the fest to a new weekend. With all that is happening it will be impossible to keep the May dates. We are working right now on the new dates which will still happen this year. Hopefully in the next week or so we will be able to officially announce the new dates. Sorry for the inconvenience with having to shift flights and hotels. We hope we will see you all later this year at the Legions of Metal Festival. Watch this page for updates and news with the new dates.
