Hello friends,

Unfortunately we have two cancellations for KEEP IT TRUE in April 2023, but we can present replacements immediately.

Unfortunately, SANCTUARY have to cancel their gig at KIT 2023 because the daughter of original guitarist Lenny Rutledge recently passed away and Lenny has to take care of his family and himself first. We would like to express our deepest condolences to Lenny and his family. Here is the official text we received from their management.
“The daughter of Lenny Rutledge has recently passed away, and his attention and focus need to be with his family during this difficult time. Due to this unfortunate news, Sanctuary is canceling their scheduled appearance at KIT 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused for the festival and our fans. We appreciate your understanding during this time.” - Sanctuary management
As a replacement, we can present you one of the finest US Melodic Metal bands with FIFTH ANGEL. The band will release their new album in May and have agreed to stand in for Sanctuary at short notice.

Unfortunately, CRUSH also have to cancel due to serious health problems of a band member. We send our well wishes to Greece and hope to catch up on the show one day.
As a replacement, the Swedish cult Thrash Band MEZZROW will play their very first show in Germany and also release their comeback album "Summon Thy Demons" after 30 years on Fireflash Records exactly on the KIT weekend.

Just to confirm again: the tickets purchased for Friday and Saturday of 2019/2020 will of course remain valid, same goes for the additionally purchased tickets for Thursday.
80% of the tickets for the KIT Thursday are sold, here you can find the remaining tickets, the rest of the festival is completely sold out.

Hello friends,

Unfortunately we have a serious cancellation for KEEP IT TRUE in April 2023.
End of last week we received the final cancellation from Loudness, who hereby cancel their entire European tour:

Loudness official statement:

“We are very sorry that we must announce, the European Tour of Loudness is cancelled.
We discussed multiple options back and forth in order to find a solution. However, we can't perform the tour under the circumstances given.
We are very sorry for everyone who looked forward to these shows and hope to be back as soon as possible”

We at KEEP IT TRUE Festival are extremely disappointed by this cancellation. Disappointed on the one hand because we know how much you all were looking forward to the band, but we cannot meet your expectations in this regard. Disappointed also, because from our point of view this cancellation is completely unnecessary. When we were approached that the tour would probably be cancelled, we tried EVERYTHING to at least save the gig at KIT. We increased the fee by up to 50% and found a financially stable solution together with the real dedicated booker. Unfortunately, the band rejected this proposal as well. We can't understand why the band lets their fans and us down. We fought for it for almost four years. Even when we sent a personal message to the manager, we received neither an answer nor an explanation. Instead, without informing us in advance, the above press text went out to all organizers. The festival has been badly hit by the Covid years, so we have had to make some changes over time. But the fact that such an unnecessary cancellation is coming our way, just a few weeks before the festival, makes us really very sad. Of course, this is not in our hands, but a negative feeling will remain with us. Nevertheless, we hope that you will remain loyal to us, as you have been in the past few years. All that remains for us to say is that we really tried EVERYTHING, but we had to set up a replacement program for you in no time at all, which we can now present to you:

As the new headliner, GEOFF TATE will play a full 120 minute show featuring the complete "Rage For Order", the complete "Operation Mindcrime" and additional songs from the EP and "The Warning". A dream for every 80s Queensryche fan.

As co-headliners, Vicious Rumors will play a special 80s set of songs from the Atlantic Records albums with their sensationally good new singer Ronnie Munroe (ex-Metal Church).
